After an eighteen year career in the entertainment business in artist management, Andrew spent ten years working with the creator of Bob the Builder, producing and monetising children’s television projects including Fifi and the Flowertots, Roary the Racing Car and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion. “Being involved in many animation projects taught me the significance of capturing the viewers attention and framing carefully considered compositions.”
Andrew and his wife moved to West Sussex in 2015 where he turned his attention to his lifelong passion for photography. This started as a child, shooting with a vintage Voightlander, developing film in his mum and dad’s darkened bathroom and continuing with a strong interest in wildlife, landscape and water sports photography. He was first published in 2016.
In 2018 we relocated to a village near Bridport in West Dorset where he focused on the abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes and townscapes that Dorset have to offer. Developing his own style, he enjoys harnessing Dorset’s wonderful light and particularly how it can be interpreted in black and white photography.
in 2023 he was selected as a finalist for the Marshwood Art Awards, the selection panel including Sir Don McCullin and Mike Gus. In the same year he was published in Black and White photography magazine.
In 2021, 2022 , 2023 and 2024 Andrew held solo exhibitions at both the Malthouse and Courtyard galleries in Lyme Regis and had further exhibitions at the Eype Centre for the Arts, also showing at the Bridport and Illminster Art Centres.
